A compact and efficient MT3608 DC-DC boost converter designed to step up lower voltages to higher, adjustable output levels. With a wide input range of 2V to 24V, this module can boost voltage up to 28V, making it ideal for a wide range of power applications.
Perfect for Arduino, ESP32, battery-powered systems, and DIY electronics, this module allows you to easily generate stable voltages such as 5V, 9V, or 12V from lower voltage sources.
Key features
- Step-up (boost) converter – output voltage always higher than input
- Wide input voltage range: 2V – 24V
- Adjustable output voltage up to 28V
- Up to 2A output current (with proper conditions)
- High efficiency of up to 93%
- Compact and lightweight design
- Onboard multi-turn potentiometer for precise adjustment
How to use
- Connect your input power supply to IN+ and IN- (2V–24V)
- Measure the output on OUT+ and OUT-
- Adjust the onboard potentiometer to set the desired output voltage
Note: The output voltage must always be set higher than the input voltage.
Pinout
- IN+ – Input positive
- IN- – Input negative (GND)
- OUT+ – Output positive
- OUT- – Output negative (GND)

Common applications
- Boosting 3.7V battery to 5V USB power
- Powering 9V or 12V devices from lower voltage sources
- DIY power supplies and voltage regulation
- Arduino and ESP32 projects
- Portable electronics and battery systems
- LED drivers and small motors
Important notes
- Not a step-down module – cannot reduce voltage
- Maximum current depends on input/output conditions and cooling
- Always verify output voltage before connecting sensitive devices
Tip: For stable 5V output from a lithium battery (3.7V), adjust the module carefully using a multimeter before connecting your device.
